The wife does not like how you eat?
So nothing to do with watches but I have to ask. Does your wife ever comment on how you eat??? For example "You are a heavy breather while you eat" or "You take too big bites? So big food falls out of your mouth" or "you eat too fast" or "you eat with your mouth open" All while you are doing this in your own house and not even aware you are doing anything I guess wrong?
Just wondering |

Nope.
She and I actually barely talk when we eat. We're both fast eaters and get down to the business and then afterwards, we will share couple of words. LOL. I think you should tell her to shut up as she knew your eating style/habits prior to you guys getting married. |

My guess is that there is more to it, and probably has little to do with how you eat.

Your real problem is you shouldn't be letting your wife out of the kitchen.......

Back on topic.... I've been married a while now and my wife still randomly mentions how fast I eat. Heck, I even amaze myself sometimes. |

So I see not a very common problem. I should have pointed out in my post that my wife comments very little on how I eat. She does point out if I drop food on the floor or chew with my mouth open. I was really wondering about this becuase I was at my brother in laws place tonight for dinner and his wife really was at him about just about everything I put in my above post. It made for an akward situation when they got into a big fight over it right in front of me and my wife? We ended up leaving after she locked herself in the bedroom.

I'm married to a chef. It is actually his second career. Eating with my family (many years before culinary school) was the first time he was exposed to proper place settings. I remember my grandmother barking at him regarding silverware usage. She was a rude, cold bitch- but that's for another thread. Hubby and I can set a proper table and have the silver to do so. We rarely do. Most of our friends are chefs. When we get together, it's usually cooking and eating standing in the kitchen area.

Ohh and if my husband never let me out of the kitchen, then he wouldn't live in a beautiful house, have a 4 car garage and own 6 cars. He also would not be shopping for car number 7 and waiting to install that extra garage.

Married for 6 years togeather for a total of 12 years however read my second post as this whole topic was more about dinner at my brother in laws place. I was not clear on the why I was asking in my first post. Some assumed it was me who was getting in trouble. It does come up a little bit but nothing as bad as what happened between my brother in law and his wife. They have been married for 2 years now and dated 1 year before getting married.

As others have alluded to I would think that a complaint like this would be a sign of larger underlying problems and to air them in public with family members present and then lock yourself in the bedroom surely portends difficulties ahead.
