Bezel for Rolex 1655

Someone is selling this item over at TZ @ USD2500. There is no mention if it is NOS, just that it is in good condition.

Is the asking price outrageous or is this the actual market rate for the bezel?

Henry, the vintage Rolex world is a lot different than the modern Rolex world.

US$2,500 for a genuine 1655 bezel is about right. Just try to find another one. Rolex doesn't even have then anymore.

Last week an anchor for a 1665 SD (which was a trinket given by Rolex for many years to Sub and SD sales) sold for just under US$2,000.

A used (although immaculate) dial for a 1665 DRSD sold a few months ago for US$10,000!

Vintage Rolex boxes, now you're talking US$500+.

And finally, very used original sword hand set for Rolex Military Submariner minimum GBP5,000 and original bezel insert for same minimum GBP5,000. Complete genuine MilSub would cost you US$80,000++.

Crazy prices, but with limited parts, and plenty of collectors who want/need the parts, well the sky's the limit.

Thanks, John.

Why didn't my Dad leave me an heirloom consisting a few dozen pieces of this metal ring?
