So it's not the steam that causes the failure, but it's water that you notice in the watch after a shower that could lead you to believe the steam damaged the seal, but it's just the unfortunate result of an unserviced mechanical beast.

I'm so happy that I've gotten to use so many great Apple products that he had a hand in bringing to the market, from the Apple Iic in 1984 to the iMac, iPad, iPhone, and Macbook Air that I use on a daily basis. My life has been richer because of his inspiration.

I'm shocked and saddened by his passing at much much too young an age.
