It ws a pain to get it working but now is ok.

It looks like I can't use my own ringtones longer.

I had iOS 5 since June and I have a bunch of personal ring tones and I did not have to make any changes to them.

Once you edit your sound clip and save it as mp3, change the file extension to .m4r and add it to iTunes. It will automatically be saved as a ringtone.

Try that. It should work.
