How many of you ACTUALLY look at your watch for the time?

I think I can speak for most if not all, when I say we didn't buy these watches just to tell time. How many of you actually even get the time from your watch though?

I caught myself yesterday searching for my phone when someone asked me for the time instead of looking at the actual watch on my wrist.

Why wear a watch if you don't use it for the intended purpose? I use my watch all the time and hardly ever use my cell phone for the time.

I usually am forced to look twice if I need to know the time.

I bought a watch because that is what I use to tell the time, probably a dozen times a day.

My watch happens to be a Rolex because I have always wanted a Rolex. First and for most, though, it is still a wristwatch and I use it to tell the time.

50% of the time spent looking at my watch is an actual time check.

The other 50% is to smile and admire it.

I do not rely on ant other devices for the time.

When I want to know the time, I almost always look at my watch.

However I look at my watch five times more often than when I want to know the time.

I buy a watch to take a look at the time but I bought my watches for the beauty of them. Best of both worlds!

I wouldn't have paid that much if it wasn't for the beauty of them but I do use them for their main purpose (otherwise I'd just buy some gold or stainless steel bracelets)!

Only for the time, why else would I wear a watch. First thing I look at when I wake up is my watch for the time. I dont even know how to use my alarm clock. I'm old-school. Where is the time on my phone

Not only, of course. I look at my watch much more often than I need to know the time. However, I do rely on it for the time all the time, my cell phone is normally packed in my bag.

This is why it severely annoys me to hear the complaints about the accuracy-obsessers here, for me a minute or two can be the difference between being forced to run to catch a train or not. (No, I will not wear a quartz, sorry.)

My watch is the only thing I use to tell time and date! My phone is somewhere on my desk under a pile of charts/ paper.. No way can I get to it to tell time..even if I have it on me, the phone is in my pocket... Way quicker to glance at my wrist ...

We can own quartz watches and still look at them from times to times just because we think they're beautiful!

Same here. I forget that my phone is even a source of information for knowing the time. I've worn a wristwatch since I was very young -- at least a decade before I ever carried a cell phone -- so the habit of looking at my watch is hardwired in me.

Sure I admit I look at it once in awhile just to admire how good it looks, however I actually do look at my watch to find out what time it is.

Someday when I get real good like Dr. Bob I'll do both at the same time, until then I'll just have to work on it.

Back when I only had one watch (aaah, the days of having spare cash to spend!) it finally gave up on me and stopped running. I continued to wear it for two years before getting it serviced, and I never managed to kill the habit of looking at my watch first when I needed to know the time.

I have to look twice, every time.

I go to look at my watch for the time, get distracted by the cream colored plots and hands and forget what time it was when I looked.

LOL!
