Why think about 2008 lets be honest here the so called updates to any of Rolex watches over the last almost 20 years has hardly been mind blowing.Lets see non lugs holes, fat hands thin hands,SEL,Non Sel,Rolex Rolex around chapter ring.Sorry don't need reminding I am wearing a Rolex.Parachrome hair-spring something Rolex had to do make there own, to be totally self-sufficient and now make everything in-house.And the ceramic bezel again yes a
improvement so they say,but quite a bit more expensive. Now if you look at Rolex watches in general little has changed over the past forty years. And now making and selling now almost 900000 watches a year. There is a old saying if its not broke why fix it IMO,all I hope is Rolex don't take the bling and getting as many tourbillions into a watch route.Like so many other manufactures today, take the expence very high price market. If they did then I am sure old Hans would start to roll in his grave.

i agree with what padi said. I would be really dissapointed if rolex started manufacturing super bling watches with tourbillons and etc. Rolex is supposed to be the true tool watch

My guess is an expansion of the maxi-dial into other references.
LOL! I don't really have any idea!

I for my part do not thing much will happen on the Basel 2008 Fair what Rolex is concerned. But of course there MIGHT come something NEW since the name "ROLEX" was coined 100 years ago in 2008.

However, updates to the SUB (ceramic bezel, super case etc) I believe will first happen in 2009 or even later.

Anyway, here is a link with a report from the Basel Fair 2000 where the NEW Daytona movement (Cal. 4130) and the CURVED sapphire crystal of the Day-Date were introduced:

Be nice if I could get our hands on or at least see a Basel 2007 model Milgauss at some stage before I think about Basel 2008.
