Post your never restored tough life Rolexes!

Hi, coming across so many minty and well maintained Rolexes thought is time to see some well used and never restored condition Rolexes that have had a life in the wild. Preferably those with the rusty bits still showing on the case, lume cracked or scratched cases, faded dials, rusted hands etc that adds character to the watch and shows it had a full life. Just want to see them as they were so bring them out. More power to you if you use them as daily wearers in an unrestored condition. Love the unrestored look but almost impossible to find since most have possible been restored with period correct parts.

Why would some one even dare to use the word 'sh...ty' when referring to Rolex and even create a blog with those images. Pure ignorance!!!!

Thanks for sharing though.

This is about as rough as my collection gets. It's a 5513 from 1967 that went through a couple of tours of Vietnam, parachuted behind enemy lines, practiced submarine insertions on enemy soil, sailed around the world in a one man sail boat where it's owner was mugged in Mobassa Kenya, and was run over by an oil tanker near the last leg of it voyage. The sail around the world is documented on the internet. Here it is:

Note the scars on the case back from wearing a Nato strap for all those years:

As it is now with the insert changed out and on a Maratac Nato:

This thread is right up my alley =) I've never understood the point of polishing a toolwatch.

Here's my 5513.
