I read ABC is grounding Pan Am

And its the only show that says "Rolex"or gives shots of a Pepsi GMT....
plus the eye candy does not hurt either....they are all very easy on the eyes...I had hoped for a few seasons.....but every show I like gets the axe.

Bummer.

I think they failed to capture the "Mad Man" period piece drama. I think it all stems back to the casting of the flight-deck/pilots. The 'young' guys and politically correct flight deck lacks the draw.

Shame...

I Googled it and there are mixed reports. ABC denies that any decision has been made. Yet.

And about 20 years ago, exactly, from the failing of the real airline.

Here's hoping it will continue. But must admit, the storyline isn't the strongest.

besides the rare rolex spotting, there is nothing attractive about this show. dumb storyline, cheap locations (paris was ridiculous). i stoped watching after the first few episodes.
if i want some of the sixties, it must be mad men.

ABC is struggling with their programming demographic - series like Pan Am or Mad Men appeal to audiences nostalgic for the 60's (boomers mostly). But Millennial's drive advertisers - so attracting an audience is just one part of the problem

AMC targeted the 55+ demo with Mad Men. Also pairing it with Breaking Bad in the early season schedules (which successfully crossed boomers with Gen Y). Both AMC shows were mated with sponsors wanting that demo.

If the network execs have guts, they'll re-tool the show and the promotion of it.
