Drew Brees is such a great person. I met him at Wendy, of all places.. and the guy is a true gentlemen. I was watching the game with my family. Nothing like witnessing history the day after Christmas.

Watching Brees to Sproles has to be tough for charger fans. My sympathies. Can't Blame the Chargers, The gave him an offer, But no promise of being a starter. And at that time he was so injured he may not have ever played again. And Thank You Nick Saban for not wanting him in Miami :)
Geaux Saints!!!!!!!!!! Now we have to watch Brady, He only needs 190 to tie Brees. So I guess that means Pats fans and Saints fans get a full game of their starting QB's To me the bigger story was the Saints Defense only allowing 35 rushing yards and destroying the Falcons. Drew would have gotten that record next week. They made the Falcons look silly and out of place. |

It's great to see the Saints competing.
In my 22 years in New Orleans, I think they made it to the playoffs twice and were defeated in the first round. Most New Orleanians were bi-polar during football season, being in a frenzied state of euphoria on Fridays and Saturdays and suicidal on Mondays. It feels good to see them excel.

Great feat for sure.
I think we all expected Drew to surpass Dan's record. The run-up against the Falcons is already getting some coverage in this web story. But to the Falcons credit they said it was their job to hold the Saints offense and control their own fate. For Saints and Brees fans it is a great day - congrats on a great season and accomplishment. As Brees said, it was a team effort. I sort of wish the Saints had run the clock out in Atlanta and then Brees could break the record at home against the Panthers. It would've given the Saints fans a great thing to see in their home stadium.

Plus the Saints had stalled and been unable to do anything in the 4th quarter, They wanted to finish strong. No big Deal. Falcons knew they were going to throw it. If you can't stop it, you just can't stop it. But they knew it was coming. Also, This is a rival team. They may play Atlanta in the playoffs. nothing more than making sure ATL knows the Saints are in it to win it. All in all it was a great night for New Orleans. |

It was a great night for New Orleans. The Hornets won and the T-Wolves lost Plus Eric Gordon drilled the game winning shot.

Jeez I jumped in/out of that game to see score and a play or two while doing other things. I must've been really buzzed not to notice where the heck they were playing!

A great feat.If Atlanta didn't want the score run up on them then maybe they should have played defense. Atlanta is a playoff bound team and have no one to blame for the blowout but themselves.

Very classy guy. He gave a good interview with Suzi Kolber after the game.
Good that they got this over with during this game so it's not on their minds for next week. |

Agreed, this isn't high school ball. Just like last year, atl is incredibly overrated and they are gonna get slaughtered in the first round.

And I think it is so childish that the reporter from Atlanta made it sound like the Saints were poor sportsman for making the play and breaking the records with a touchdown in their home town and in their home dome. Shame on the Falcons fans for being cry babies!!!

Brees has been absolutely lights out, as usual. When he is on, there is pretty much nothing a defence can do to stop him. He deserves the records.
Also, I thought Matthew Stafford really got snubbed for the pro bowl. Look at his numbers and Detroit's record before this season. Manning got it because he plays on the big market team, plain and simple. |

The Falcons and the Saints have developed one of the great rivalries in the history of professional football.
If Atlanta had been in the same situation, I can hardly imagine that they wouldn't have done the same thing. Let them whine.
