Icon14 JJ's Wit and Wisdom

Saw this old post by JJ get resurrected earlier today - it's now closed - but the last post brought something to mind.

It's how internet search engines will keep JJ's "spirit for the sport" of Rolex hunting, collecting and debating its pro's and con's will be with us for decades to come. His ruminations are epic.

It does tug at the heartstrings to remember him - maybe I'm just overly sentimental - but particularly at this time of year I think of him as faint strains of Auld Lang Syne play in my mind.

Here's to his spirit staying with us all for years to come.

From everything I read he was a catalyst for discussion and started 1,000's of posts; we need more people like that on here

I went and met the local watchmaker at the Rolex AD yesterday; I told her I found her from TRF and the first thing she asked me was if I was on there while JJ still was with us. I replied "I wish, found the site afterwards".
