Greetings and Salutations

Excitement, adventure, a Jedi craves not these things... true, but I ain't Yoda!

Watches provide me with a kind of excitement granted, but even more so when accompanied with an adventure of some description! Nice to join this forum, and hello to everyone.

The watches I currently own are:

Stainless Steel Submariner Date
Stainless Steel Explorer II (white dial)
Chopard Mille Miglia Gran Turismo XL (Dunlop strap)
Chopard Mille Miglia Chronograph
Omega Speedmaster Automatic
Breitling Navitimer Patrouille Suisse Limited Edition
Suunto Mariner (best yachting watch, YM II owners might disagree )
Ball Fireman Stainless Steel (43mm)

The latest in the collection is the Explorer II, and it was purchased when I finally realised I needed (read: 'wanted badly') a dual time watch and that, wow, they don't make the Pepsi bezel anymore for the GMT II, and that after months of consideration, I really didn't like the green 24 hour hand, and yes, I'd always liked the Explorer II, and here was one, for around US4,500.00 so I said, okay. But I won't get to wear it until December 1, when I'm married and my new parents in-law officially present it to me. Life is great.

Apart from watches, I like cars too, and the Chopard XL is an attempt to reflect that.

The YM was quite attractive but when I realised it's pretty useless tool-wise, I refrained, but now my wife-to-be is considering it as a daily wearer. The verdict is still out pending a boy's size fitting when the AD gets it in later this month. I'm not a yacht-master by any means, just somebody who enjoys racing, both around the cans and bluewater.

The Sub is out of commission pending servicing and probable parts replacement as the crown refuses to lock in without messing with the date.

Here's it all briefly and I look forward to participating in greater depth.

Welcome Jedi, you have a great collection.
I think you should consider the full size YM for your wife to be. Ladies are wearing larger sizes these days, and you also might get the chance to wear it too.
Anyway, good to have another guy here from Malaysia, my brother lives in Penang and he has a GMT 16750, which serves him very well.
You are always welcome and a photo is great too.
P.S. Mike that is an awesome photo.

I'm in the process of getting the photobucket decently filled, and seeing as I haven't photographed The Collection (thanks for reaffirming that I do indeed have a collection) I'll be taking some hints from photos I've already seen here and trying to It some justice.

The scary thing is, I've been lurking about this forum and in the last two weeks, the Gran Turismo XL and Explorer II were finally purchased, and following on, I'm probably going to commit to the Yachtmaster, while desperately trying to convince Mrs Jedi that perhaps the GMT II in SS would be a better choice.
