I think I just feel that my watch is my most personal possession and, therefore, not something I'd constantly change.
The closest analogy I can think of is the "cult" of personal weapons in ancient warrior cultures... The Japanese sword, the Viking axe etc were all things that would stay with a man all his life and became an extension of him. For me my watch is the modern equivalent. It goes everywhere I go, touches everything I touch... Every little scratch tells a story. Sorry... I've gone a bit "Zen"! Must be the whisky!!
