Official Scratched Ceramic Bezel Club

Well you asked for it so you got it. I am member number one in the scratched ceramic bezel club. I almost lost my right arm in a motorcycle wreck and this is how my sub survived. Not bad I say considering I totaled my Harley and shattered my right Humerus bone. The sub definately held its own weight but damn Rolex wants an arm to have it fixed so I will live with it for now. If you have a scratched bezel and a hard luck story this is where you post it.

Even though it would bother me, I would keep it as a reminder of survival. Your Sub fared well considering the circumstances....

That is pretty darn impressive if you ask me. If that was the result from a motorcycle accident. Then I have complete faith on my SubC's bezel holding up.

If Rolex wants and "arm and a leg" for a ceramic bezel replacement, based on what I heard about the accident you almost had an "arm" to give them.

Wish you all the best on a full recovery.

The scratch is another evidence, that a Sub can take much more than yourself.

I'd keep the watch as it is and crop the xray shot with the shot of the bezel and hang it onto my wall as a kind of trophy.

Sounds like you got pretty lucky..

Hope you're doing well.
As for the Sub, that's pretty impressive that it just got a small abrasion.

So much for the "brittle" ceramic bezel worries!

Have you asked your insurance if that damage is covered as part of the accident?
