Airking

Hi there,

I'm looking to purchase a vintage rolex, and this airking has caught my attention on ww.ebay.co.uk.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rolex-Oyst...item19cd5d9af8

This would be my first rolex, and i especially love the vintage ones.
Does the watch look authentic or is the price ok?
Thank you very much in advance.

Regards,
Patrick

re:airking 5500

The font is correct on this watch, the scroll is correct on this watch. The 1520 movement was used on this watch, the bracelet stampings seems correct 783519(the nine is indication 18k white gold) The seller does not mention the bezel is 18k white gold,in fact he indicates complete ss original bracelet. Ask seller if there is 18kt white gold on bezel. You know what, most likely it is..but would it make sense asking seller if it is?$$ Lets say you don't ask, and after you get it, its not white gold, the seller has sold you a rolex air king with with bracelet ss as described but a bracelet that does not belong to that case. "so item not as described return through paypal could be allowed if you change your mind" If it is 18k white gold, than its a ++for price! if its not, that is not the original bracelet that watch came with but an original rolex bracelet(known as mix/match) The serial number is not so clear is looks like 2263236 which brings to '68-'69 year. The reference # on inside of case im not so sure off..The question for the rest of trf members, for this particular year airking does reference on 12'oclock be the same on inside of case??
