Got The Call!

My AD just called 5 minutes ago!

The SS Daytona that I ordered in April when I joined this forum has arrived!

White Faced Cos! Perfect compliment for my SD which (of course!) has a black face.

I will pick it up on Friday!

At MSRP!

Congrats! Absolutely superb, Bo! It is always nice to see great news like that come across the forum. I can't wait to see the pics and (I'm certian) the very thorough review. I caught a look at a black face Daytona the other day, and much prefer the SS to any form of gold in that reference. JMO, they're slightly eye-catching without being loud or boisterous. Have no doubt you will enjoy that one for years!

Yes, I am VERY happy!

As you would know, I have had the Zenith Daytonas, but I look forward to owning the in-house Daytona:
  1. Better clasp and bracelet (SOLID centre links and "Easy Extension" link)
  2. Parachrom Bleu hairspring
  3. Hacking second's function (you can stop the second's hand with the crown which you could not do with the "Zenith" Daytona 16520without "forcing" the second's hands to - kind of - stand still by holding on to
  4. the crown)
  5. Better lume to due to "Fat Hands" and larger hour markers than the "Zenith" Daytona 16520.

Me too! Glad to hear you got THAT call you have been waiting for. It must be exciting. How long will be your wait until Friday.

Can' wait for pics, impressions, and all.

Although I have a cousin (TT black face Daytona--with lots of bling to boot!!) it's nice to know you'll be a member of the Daytona club.

But I am very happy I will get the White Cos since this one will be looking so much different than my SD.

Maybe I flip my SD someday for the new GMT II!

Then I will have the ULTIMATE "different" Rolex watches for variation:

One WITH date and CYCLOPS
One WITHOUT date and cyclops

One with BLACK dial
One with WHITE dial

But one thing is for SURE!

I will NEVER ever flip my Daytona again! I did that three times before........never again!

Well, might be sooner than you think!

I waited 6 months for this one, but I also have a longstanding (since 1989) customer relationship with my AD. Always helps.

In the SD precision thread, I checked and Bo never responded to the comments about flipping the SD for a GMTII-C...

Flipped THREE Daytona's, countless Sub's and SD's... Admit it Bo, you're a SERIAL FLIPPER, and no watch is safe!!!!

Got myself on a list about 3 months ago - I suspect it could be years tho - if at all (I have no 'contact' with the dealer in question)..

Well done Bo - great news, lucky bastard
