Jut got my new subdate bimetal 16613

Just got my new steel/gold submariner date this afternoon (blue face and bezel). It looks absolutely fantastic and I am very pleased. I traded my 9 year old steel subdate for the new one. The AD (same one as I bought it from originally) gave me £1700 for my old watch (never serviced) and it cost me a further £2550 for the new one (RRP £4250). I think that is a good deal given that discounts are hard to come by. I think it was made easier by having paid a deposit on a new lady DJ (diamond set dial) for my wife as a Christmas present).

Thanks for the comments. I agree its a beautiful watch which I will wear daily. The original price for my old watch was £2120 in May 1999, so £1700 for the trade was a good deal I think!

The two tone Sub is to me one of the worlds most beautiful watches.

That is a fantastic picture. The colour is awesome (could do with a new cellphone though!! ), no doubt taken with a very advanced DSLR. I will post pics as soon as I get around to taking them. Thanks for your comments. My wife's watch is a 179173 DateJust Jubilee bracelet, bimetal, diamond set dial with a jubilee dial in champagne. (hope she likes it, it is sat the AD awaiting collection just before Christmas).

and...
I was in my AD the other day with mt TT Blue Sub on Z serial number bought in March 2007.

They had a new 07 in the case. We compared dials and whoever brought it up before is right. The blue in the very newest ones is a different shade of blue!! Slightlu lighter color!

Oh and congrats on your new purchase!

As much 'depth' of colour tho ??
If mine materialises this week, I'm intrigued as to which I'll get
