He's striping the driver and hitting greens. Now he will work on his scoring clubs. He'll post another top five at Augusta but the course identifies poor putting and I'm not sure he can get his confidence back by then. Best chance outside The Masters is US Open at Olympic Club. Too many random winners at The Open and PGA.

But we've seen repeatedly this year that Tiger's putting from scoring distance (let's say 15 feet on in) has undone him when he's been in position to make a run on Saturday or Sunday. And when he's really been stringing together a bad round, we've invariably seen that he's missed inside of the 10 foot range for birdies or par saves. Those were the putts that he was knocking down regularly back in his glory days, as if he were playing his EA Sports videogame instead of actually rolling them on the course. I would like to see Tiger get into the winner's circle again. He screwed up, suffered mightily for it personally/professionally/financially, and now it's time to put a charge in viewership again.

It's always fun to observe the perspective of those who've never put a peg in the ground in a professional event.
It's similar to comments from the folks who've never slid a Rolex onto their wrist. Would not all of you reply, "What could you possibly know if you've never tried it?" |

He is playing really well this weekend and is currently tied forthe lead. And he has actually played fairly well this year. If he can stay healthy he has a chance.

If nothing else, he's made a good case for believing in the power of karma.

Big win today, should make Augusta a little more interesting, Rory has some competition now at least.

I was at Bay Hill today. The crowds following Tiger were insane. Followed Phil instead, then Tiger on the ninth. After seeing the masses moving toward 10 felt it a good time to leave.

Regardless of how one feels about his off-course behaviour and wants to disassociate themselves from that type of behavior, it's hard to deny that he (still) has great talent in the game of golf.

Yep and he is still the favorite out there by a long shot. If you watched any of it today the gallery following him was HUGE. They were prob 10-20 deep all day long. Biggest I've seen since since Scottsdale.
