Arnold Palmer taken to Hospital before end of Golf Tournament

If any of you watched the golf tournament and wondered why Arnold wasn't there to be the first to meet Tiger after his win he was just taken to the hospital. He was at the course and begin to feel ill. He went and got his daughter and walked a few houses down to his Dr. who lives at Bay Hill. I know no details but Arnold was not feeling chest pain and never lost consciousness. He is in the hospital but has a statement saying his is upset about missing the end of his golf tournament. Reports say he has also contacted Tiger Woods to congratulate him on the victory. He did an interview when Tiger and Graeme were about halfway through the round and seemed OK and was very excited about how well the tournament was going.

Yes he is. He put modern golf on the map. What he has done with his hospitals is just amazing. He is a wonder person and really gives back. His charisma really captured the fans in the late 50's. I hope he will be back and I will see him around Augusta in a few weeks.

I didn't watch a whole lot of golf today, but I did see when Arnie was being interviewed and he spoke of the many charities he is involved with. I payed attention when Arnie came on.

Here's to Arnie's health.

Legends don't get any bigger than Arnold Palmer and the longer we can keep him around the better the world will be.

I saw the Tourney and his interview. So sorry he fell ill. Hope it is just over exertion and he has a quick recovery.

Reports out now he was recently placed on some new meds causing high blood pressure. After about 30 min of observtion at his doctor's house it was suggested he go to the hospital for further observation. He should be released in the AM if there are no other issues. Very glad to hear it wasn't anything too serious but I hate it for him he missed the trophy presentation at his tournament.
