A Salty Dog (omega)
I brought this from an old farmer here in tropical Queensland. He had owned it from new. He finally replaced it with a stainless steel watch, a much better idea for this climate. I dont think I have ever seen a watch case that has suffered so badly from the salt on someones wrist as this one has. The movement and dial are still pretty good and it is keeping excellent time!! (anyone got a spare case?)

Whoa! That is some serious corrosion. I looks like there may be some trauma involved here as well. It is hard to believe it is keeping such good time considering what is has been through.
Do you have any more info on it history as far as servicing, age etc? |

I think your early Omega Seamaster is worth taking a shot at.
It may not be really cheap, as it needs to be re-cased - but you will get satisfaction knowing you brought a classic back from near death. Go to this Site. Omega supports their Vintage watches (unlike Rolex) It won't cost a thing to drop them some inquirees. http://www.omegawatches.com/cu_vintage/ |
