Nato Nylon Strap - Does It Ruin The Image of Your Watch?

I am asking for your opinion. I am about to get 7 different colors for my stainless Datejust. I had jubilee for awhile, and I would like to get a fresh change for my watch. I am also attending a prep school, so that prep look is something very nice as well.

I read something about the Nato straps on Askmen.com and the guy totally rejected the notion claiming that it will totally ruin the experience.

This is a serious dilemma.. The nylons are very "chill" in a way, yet can also be too hipster/does not belong with Rolex kind of thing..

Please let me know what you think.
