I don't find that an attractive looking watch at all
But hey.... I actually like the Yachtmaster II! A good thing not everybody has the same taste....

I think it is a great looking watch. Aren't they close to the price range of the SS Rolex sport models?

Yeah, that's the only thing stopping me from getting one. Its a little bit of dough for me.
If it was $700 bucks or so, I would have snapped it up.

Agreed, my Vanity would stop me from buying it. It is a great watch, and I would know what I had. A $5000 Seiko. But to others it would still just be a Seiko.

That's a very good point. I wonder how many would admit that. I'm definitely not into getting recognition for the watch I wear but don't think I would like paying $5000 for a watch when 99.99% of people would assume I paid $300 for it. Funny how that works.

I like it, and will someday purchase a grand Seiko.
However, I wonder what the band and clasp are like. Typically that is where I am sometimes left less than fully satisfied with some of the higher end (JDM) Seikos I have purchased. |
