I'm On the Top of the World.......

OK, so really it's only the top of Dubai, but it's called At The Top.

I took the tour of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. I wore what I woke up with on my wrist, my root beer GMT. Had a little fun sticking my arm out the various windows 124 stories up, hope you enjoy the pics.

That is one heck of a view! Surprised you can open windows in a building that tall. Cool pics.

Thank you!

Yes, there's windows that stay open, here's a pic of someone's hands out those windows from another section of the building.

BTW, Subtona, the time zone stays the same up there, but my ears sure popped on the elevator!

saw a documentary on the construction of the elevators... fascinating!!!!

they couldn't use traditional steel cables because at that length they couldn't support their own weight, so they have to use some sort of electro magnets to move the elevator up and down... revolutionary design.

That's all true, they have displays showing things about the construction on your way in and out. The elevator is the fastest in the world, it goes up 124 floors in a matter of seconds. Super smooth, too. Made my ears pop a few times each way.

I know the building is something like over 830 meters tall... But how many stories is it?
