Is this a good price for a brand new rolex submariner 16613 two tone serti
i have been looking for a good second hand 16613 serti submariner with diamond and saphire dial for a while and found a brand new one that has not been sold by the dealer...
He is giving it to me for 12 500$ Given that it is discontinued and was made in 2008, I think it is steep... What do you think? |

that would be an ok price for the ceramic serti. For the old style I would not pay more than 9k for the older version.

That sounds like absolute craziness to me for this model... I know you are in Canada and am unsure of the conversion rate but this is way too much IMO

I agree, he initially told me 13 700$ and I told him that the most I would consider paying for a discontinued model was 10 000$ even if it came brand new from an authorized rolex dealer...
He went on and gave me a speech about it now being vintage...Garbage event though it has the factory serti diamond and saphire dial, still to high Would anyone know where I could find a new one or very new pre-owned one in the US? I travel all the time so the location would not be an issue... BTW, I also located a brand new blue sub, the model right befor the ceramic bezel and I could gert that one for 8500$. what do you think??? |

A bit high, in fact this is probably why he still has it.

He's not giving it to you, that's for sure. That's 2500 more then my 2011 116613 Serti I bought about a year and a half ago. Offer him 7500-8000 out the door. Look on eBay and see what the prices are there. Or look on here in the for sale forum. See if you can get a picture of it, tell him it's for insurance reasons.
Plunk down 7800 see what they say,it's a brand new one with diamonds/saphire ? That's crazy, no wonder it's still there. It's a beautiful Sub though. Here's mine, although its got the ceramic.

Go To the classified section, watches for sale. Use the search thingy and put in 116613 or 16613 or just PM Tony ( JustRolexes ).
