Rest in peace Buddy.
One has to believe that the concussions had to have played a role in his mental state. RIP

Very sad news. I remember watching him and the chargers play in the superbowl as a kid. He is now the 8th member of the 1994 Chargers team to die. RIP Junior.

Actually that quote was from Dave Duerson, another ex-NFL player that killed himself last year. Ray Easterling also killed himself last month and attributed it to the onset dementia.

A very sad situation. I love the sport, but there has to be more importance put on the players' health.

Great player.

Sounds like he really understood the importance of giving back to his community too.

Sure seems like a lot of these guys pay a massive price in order to garner a few years worth of fame and mega-dollars. JS is/was considered one of the top players in the league, both for his skills and his work ethic.

He always appeared to be very happy when interviewed.

This is very sad for him and his family.

Eight members of the 1994 San Diego AFC Championship and Super Bowl team are now dead, all before the age of 45. Something is going on.
