42mm - 44mm Rolex Cellini ???

first off, thanks for the warm welcome. i've wasted quite a bit of time on this forum and wouldn't change a thing... so far anyway.

i recently got a pam 210 on a partial trade and love the simplicity and shape of it (love the radiomir style over the luminor but that's just me).

question is, would anyone buy a 42 - 44mm cellini if it were available? i rather like the danaos but its a bit small for my wookie wrists and huge hand.

too me, it seems like rolex is missing an opportunity with the cellini line. i don't have sales figures but i doubt they sell many (relative to the non cellini lines).

personally, i would buy one. why not? still a rolex, good aftersales service and if patek, jlc and omega can sell larger 'elegant' models, why not rolex? even tudor is getting a push these days.

any thoughts?

Cellini is a true dress watch, and 34mm to 36mm is the appropriate size for a dress watch.
My obeservation is that the majority of this forum are not interested in dress watches. And there are some here who wear a sports watch for dress, which I think is silly.
If I wore a suit and tie on a regular basis I would like to have a 34mm or 36mm Cellini.

hmm..i kinda like the cestello from the rolex celini line up..then again there are a lot more better looking dress watches IMHO out there besides rolex...JLC..PP..even grand Seiko just to name a few..i think rolex made great and functional sports watch..thats why lots of people still prefer rolex sport watch line-up and why wont they...a sub already define the true meaning of a sport watch..

i would buy a 42mm-44mm..i know a chrono is not a dress watch...but a 43mm looks great as a dress watch dont u think..? jus my 2cents..

Speaking personally, as a huge fan of the Cellini line and an owner of one, I wouldn't be interested in a 42-44mm Cellini. For me, 32-36mm is the right range for a dress watch, and even the largest models in the current line-up (which are the 38mm 'Jumbo' Danaos models) are pushing it a little bit. That's just my own taste, of course. So for me, it'd be a 'no'.

Definite no for me! I like 32,33, and 36mm max dress watches! Love the Cellini line-up!

the Cellini Danaos XL is 38mm......w/ the cushion-y shape it should have some wrist presence
