Animal abusers are scum!

I was just getting home today and I saw this A$$hole literally jerking his dog back several times, like he was in a tug-o-war, because the dog wanted to sniff something. I wanted to jump off my bike and punch the guy, but he looked like one of those crazy people you don't want to mess with. Man, that just pisses me off! What the heck does he have a dog for, if he can't even let the dog enjoy his walk??? I'm so upset right now!

If you think that`s bad what would you do to a guy that won`t take his dog to the Vet. for a tooth problem because he`s too cheap?

I know what I`d do but I don`t want to end up behind bars.

I agree, if you don't have the patience to take care of an animal why would you get one and mistreat it?

I'm with you. The difference is that I too look like a "crazy guy" and have before "corrected" the problem. Don't understand why people want a pet to vent the frustrations bc they are inadequate loosers and their lives suck.
Btw I see u r DFW bound, my family and I volunteer at Operation Kindness and you wouldnt believe the things I see. Laws are NOT strong or enforced enough to make a difference.
I am by no means an animal rights activist either but there is no reason to torture an animal, jerk or abuse.

Poor little guy! A walk is supposed to be an enjoyable experience for them. I hate to think what goes on behind closed doors. Makes me sick to my stomach! When I come home from work, I'm tired! But I still take Princess for her walk, and let her go wherever she wants and take as long as she needs, because she looks forward to her walks.

Oddly enough, there are a ton of animal lovers here in NYC that would never tolerate seeing an animal being mistreated. If that kind crap went on, people would be on him like flies on shit.

My dogs are my family, period...Anyone that doesn't treat animals with love and respect should be shot. I'd be happy to do it...My yellow Lab just hit 'enter' on this post with his paw...woof.

I know, it really bothers me. I see it all too often with kids and parents, too, and it just ruins my day. A nice steady glare at least lets these dirtbags know someone has noticed.

I know, it just burns me up. Animals are innocent, and totally dependent on their owners. Why would you treat your pet so badly ;(

I get so mad at pieces of Sh** like that I'm afraid of what I might do to someone if they hurt an animal in front of me. You can tell a whole lot about people by how they treat animals. Like the soulless bastards who slaughter dolphins or cut fins from sharks. I hope the godless bastards that hurt animals rot in hell.

The SOB looked at me as I rode by. Probably because I was glaring at him. Then he did a double-take when I continued to glare at him. If I see him again, I will surely say something to him, and then maybe a call to the police. I'm STILL upset about this.

I hear ya Doc and I agree. Take comfort though in the knowledge that dogs are pretty resilient and they can put up with a lot. I'm not saying this kind of thing SHOULD happen, just that it does happen and the pooch should be ok. Hopefully this jerk was just having a bad day and doesn't treat the dog that way normally. If you do see him doing that again I would call the ASPCA or the police!!

How about some animal cruelty that makes us all laugh, maybe this will cheer you up...

Thanks Marc. I hope you're right. I know they are resilient, but I just think about someone treating MY dog that way, and it just tears me up inside. I think about how happy she is when I take her for a walk, and this poor dog must feel the same way, only to be dragged around by a stupid idiot! I'm gonna find out who he is and I AM going to report him. I won't rest until I do, I'm so mad!

Probably best that you do, given how upset you are this must be pretty serious so you have to do what you think is right, better to be safe then sorry.

I helped Bunny Buddies in Houston deal with abused bunnies and lots of Easter bunnies bought for their kids then they realize that having a bunny is lots of work and dump the poor thing to be run over or killed.
I saw lots of sad cases and kept one bunny who was blind ..and she has turned out to be my fav bunny too.
I cant imagine what kind of person would hurt a poor little bunny but Id love to find out!
