SOLD - Fortis Cosmonauts Lemaina 5100 in 18K YG
SOLD. Thanks Gil and TRF!
Near Mint (95%) Fortis Cosmonauts Lemaina 5100 in 18K yellow gold. The Fortis model number is 602.50.142. This is a limited edition of 100 watches. Finding a Lemaina 5100 Fortis Cosmonauts in 18K gold just does not happen. Watch is unpolished. This watch uses the Lemania 5100 chronograph movement. This movement has a 24 hour indicator, day, date, and 12 hour elapsed time counter. One of the movements unique features is the use of the minute counter off of the center vice using a sub dial. This makes it exceptionally easy to read the elapsed time at a glance. Included example pic shows showwthe difference of an elapsed time of 10 minutes 51 seconds with the Lemania 5100 and a Rolex 4130 movement. Note the white gold Daytona is not included in the sale. The Lemania was one of the only movement to pass the German developed DIN 8319 standards, which essentially mirrors the ISO standards used by COSC, but has a more stringent shock requirement. The Lemania ease of reading elapsed time and shock resistance is the reason the movement was utilized in the European space program and military applications. This watch is the darling of aerospace watch geeks and is out of my personal watch. When sold the watch originally came with a signed letter by Yuri Gagarin the first man to journey into outer space. If that doesn't stimulate your dormant geek gene, likely nothing will. Pictures are a thorough examination of watch and accurately portray condition. TZ grading standards are used for rating and 3.5X examination of face, sides and each lug. Watch vetted through Rolex AD watchmaker. Well within COSC accuracy standards and plenty of amplitude. Everything is as it should be. This is the watch and Fortis 18K gold buckle alone. No box or papers. $4,230 shipped within Continental US via wire. International shipping actual carriage. Trades of quality watches considered. Many, many references. Face to face deal welcome in the Puget Sound area. |
