You may be right about that. 18 months ago I was looking to buy a 36mm Explorer.
At that time most dealers had no inventory of 36mm Explorers and had been selling the new 39mm for about 6 weeks.
The AD offered me a 10% discount on the 39mm but wanted full MSRP for the old 36mm.
