Which daily-wear Rolex to add to the collection...
Have a TT Blue Sub and looking at another daily wear Rolex to wear since the TT Blue Sub can be a little too flashy.
Which do you guys suggest? Am also thinking a Cartier Santos 100. |

Hello There,
Get the ExplorerII. Very versatile watch. You won't go wrong with either the black or white dial. I've already spotted some ADs, carrying the model with the Chapter Ring Branding (CRB). Simply put the words "ROLEXROLEXROLEX" are engraved on the inner ring surrounding the dial. This is the latest incarnation in the sports model series. I currently own a Seadweller. Bought it from Dickson Wisma Atria. Enjoyed a 14% discount off the retail price of SGD7710. So if you are keen on getting a new time-piece, please feel free to drop me a PM... |

SS Sub Date, but if you want some variety, how about an Explorer II or GMT II (new or old, alough I prefer old).

Get the SD!
That way you get the perfect daily beater (cannot get much stronger than that!), and you get a totally different look with the black dial and lack of cyclops, but still get the date.

Since you have a diver, I reccomend a 4 hand watch, either Explorer 2 or GMT master.

Second those recommendations. I'd get the Exp-II (white face), or if you want a black face, the pepsi GMT

14% off retail for the SD? thats a good price Had mine in early 2007 from Cortina, but only managed a 10% off retail . It has been my only Rolex for the past few months and I think i will be enjoying it for many months to come. I will not part with it but who knows... maybe will do so if Rolex does indeed carry out the rumoured upgrade to it in the few years ahead. But anyway, SD is really a great watch and I would recommend that as a second Rolex. Its one tough watch and the absence of cyclops coupled with the identical look to the classic Sub is a plus particularly for me. It is also not that common as compared to the SS SubDate and I had only personally saw it in the wild for abt 3 times. Don't let the extra heft or the usual talk of the added thickness bother you, cos its realy a non issue IMO. & the you can always dress up or down with an SD. Nick

Any of those mentioned would be great. My vote would be for the GMT, a little more versatile IMO.

If you like the size and look of the Sub, then I would vote for the GMT 16710 as a daily wear.
Never too flashy, just right.. and can even be toned down a bit with a bezel change... |

The 16710 is my daily wearer. I love the watch. It's solid and looks great. Good luck on your quest... and don't forget to post pics when you find one.

explorer 2.....part 2?
Thanks for the replies
Sold my Explorer II black dial for the TT Blue Sub!!! I must agree the Explorer II is the ultimate daily watch. Fits under the sleeves real good too... Probably look at the white dial now. Thanks friends. |
