I love my AP, but having AP popularized by this lowlife does not encourage me to get more of them. I do love the brand, but it's frustrating to see such a classic brand, that symbolizes horological perfection, style, precision being used by some rapper to talk about his trash lifestyle.

I will be getting more APs in the future, but I hope that AP tries to distance itself from these associations.

You can't stop a certain type or group of people from buying a brand. All major brands have customers or fans from all ranges of backgrounds. Luxury will attract money whether new money or old money.

Obviously AP can't stop certain people from buying their watches (although it would be nice if they could)

But I am more referring to sponsoring them, AP sponsors plenty of sporting celebrities, I just hope they don't start sponsoring Rappers

For future reference please note that there are many folks within Rock & Roll, Folk, Country, Pop, etc. who popularize the same things you and I both detest, it's not just rappers as you stated. I am certain that if you actually got to speak to a performing artist you would see that what's on TV is not what is in fact real life... Thanks for your clarification...

Fair enough, I was definetly generalizing, and I should have been clear. Thank you for pointing out that there is an onstage persona, and then there is reality, and I am sure most of 50 cents fan base are totally upstanding people, And perhaps 50 cent in his personal life is a good guy. But I do find many of his songs offensive, and do not have a moral and positive message, they glorify violence, degrade women and encourage many bad things. And I can only make opinions of people by how they present themselves, and he does not do a very good job IMHO.

Sorry for making the comment solely about Rappers, but Honestly, I have not heard any other musicians talk about AP in their music Asside from Rappers.
