Is this Rolex "Zephyr" c. 1962 authentic?
Hello,
I can buy this watch for $900 at a pawn shop, It looks similar to the ones I've seen online, and since it's not that expensive I really doubt It would be a replica, but I'd still like you guys to tell me if it looks fake or not and if $900 would be a good price. I don't want to send it to a RSC only to have it confiscated... The only thing that looks suspicious is that the watch strap says it was made in the US, but I read in these forums that sometimes in fact the straps were made here in the US. |

Overall it looks pretty good to me, the dial shows some age which tells me that it is most likely original and not a refinish. As for the bracelet, Rolex did make some bracelets in the us and they were known as american jubilees/ bracelets. Hopefully somebody who knows a bit more than me will chime in, but to me the watch looks very legit and for $900.00 it's a great deal! I say go for it

The band is a USA oval link bracelet 14k trim should be written on the clasp it's absolutely original but these bands stretch a lot due to the design.. The watch looks good. Good price.

Looks like an old vintage Zephyr to me.
