This watch features a unique anti-shock ‘amortiser’ system, which allows the user to lock the automatic rotor. A locked, or ‘amortized’ rotor prevents damage to the movement during high shock activity. To lock the rotor, the user has to rotate a raised propeller-shaped disk on the caseback to an ‘ON’ position. Once normal wear is resumed, it can be turned to an ‘OFF’ position, which unlocks the rotor. Pictured here, right from Ball website
