A fitting tribute

JLC released the limited edition Memovox Tribute to Deep Sea about a year ago, in the process offering a very faithful homage to the original dating back to 1959. I adored it from the moment it was released and set my sights on owning one even then. In fact, my initial conversations with the then-owner of this latest addition to the collection took place some months ago.

I wasn't quite at the point where I was ready to say yes back then, and instead went on a quest to find an original 1959 vintage without success, and then any vintage Memovox in similar style. All came to nought (not many around and too expensive anyway) and a week or two ago I made the decision to try and land this one again.

Its been something of a long haul, but I got there in the end

Wow.... I hope to get one of those one day. Until then I guess I'll have to admire them from afar. Nice piece and fly safe.

Awsome watch Tony, I was lucky to see one at Salon QP and it looks the biz in the flesh too. I can see why you fell for it. Steve aka Diamond Jack bought one recently and loves it. You guys have great taste

Hey Tony....... Huge congrats

As you will know by now, it's an absolutely fantastic time piece and, like me, I'm sure you'll love it.......it immediately leaped into the favourites in my collection

The moment I saw it at Salon QP last year with Paul, Dan, Nathan and Dino.......I just knew I had to have it........ Took me about 4 months to track one down and have never looked back.......

Enjoy as I know you definitely will

I absolutely love it, and it's also firmly in my favourites list.

Let me know if you guys go to QP again next time, will you?

That's the plan Tony and why we've arranged to GTG on the same day.

So last time we met up at about 12 at Salon QP and went on to the Dickins Inn after that...... A great day although can be expensive in the longer term......

That's a nice looking watch - congrats.

Question, what's the other crown for?

It's for the mechanical alarm - so to move the triangle shown at 12 in the photo to set the alarm time and then to wind the alarm up.
