Here is some cool footage of the Breitling jet team, I saw them a year or so ago at an air show and they were pretty spectacular; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ez63f_iVsD8

We were at the id club party at baselworld hoping to meet some of the pilots but couldn't see them anywhere

Really love those old WWII planes-thanks for posting!

If you are fan of the B-17 below is a link to a
home movie shot by the co-pilot of B-17G Bit O' Lace
(named after the skimpily glad belle painted on it's
nose)while on a bombing mission. There's no sound, etc. but the film speaks
for itself:

The seaplanes my best friends dad owned when I was a kid. We used to fly all over the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and South Louisiana.

Most were shot with an ancient Nikion D50 and the cheapest 70-300mm lens, a plastic job made in China.
The rest were shot with a Nikon D90 and the same bargain basement lens.

Thanks buddy.

I got better equipment now and a lot more knowledge. Hopefully I will have an opportunity to get better pics this fall when the airshow comes to Dallas.

Here is a "live" pic of my desk and as you can see, planes everywhere!

The light was horrible so getting decent pics was tough. Some of the ones that looked bad in color were given some effects in photoshop.
