Need you help quick!!

Just was offered this and don't have a clue whether its authentic or not. The photos are terrible and the gentleman who is selling does not have access to take better ones....(sound like BS to me)

Anyways i need help in identify what the model is and a price range i should be looking to spend.

He says it starts but then stops. The crown also does not move the hour, minutue, second hands. Clearing needs a rehaul and parts i am sure.

I need a concensus on what you would offer you keep a little meat on the bone to flip and whether or not its authentic an if its from 1987 (16803?) or from 1964 like he thought...

Thanks again and anything will help!

Nick H

what the heck is the deal with that second hand(or hands for that matter), it looks like there are two second hands piled on top of eachother. this watch does not look good at all, i say run away from this deal fast. it looks very shady.

The luminous hour marking missing from the seven-o'-clock position is now seemingly stuck to the second sweep.

This watch looks totally fake.

Depends on your market position ....

For a seller, it's the ultimate Rolex prototype, a jewel in the crown for any serious collector ....

* ultra rare, tu-tone case with over-sized crown and stainless bracelet

* super-duper rare transitional dial with a mix of vintage gilt font and modern gold indices

* never before seen 'double-bubble' sweep

For a buyer, it's a bad fake.

Here's a barge pole so you have something to stay away with

What strikes we is that you seem to have 7 Rolexes and that you deal in watches (info below the pics) and still you seek for advice on a watch that smells like fake from miles away. Everything about this piece of junk is wrong....??????

Yes i do. But is it so bad that i asked a simple question? If i knew 100% it wasn't fake i wouldn't have posted the photos. I am simply making sure that what i thought was true. And from the posts i am completely ignoring the seller and walking away. No big deal.

Thanks for all the help

I was trying to think of something clever to say about the watch, and then I saw the "prototype" comments. Now that is very funny. Well done Paul.

What in the world happened to the crown that would cause the coronet to appear to be just an image? Looks like the watch has been through a dryer many times, but that coronet marking should still be sharp. Walk away from this one.
