New connector is called Lightning and they have switched to doing more wirelessly. Here's how they are selling it.



I think it is simply planned obsolesence which insures more sales on accessories, but I may be skeptical. :-)

Exactly, but what are you gonna do. I don't like this new system, at all....but I'll be getting this phone. My loyal 3GS needs a vacation.

I do like they expansion of face time. Generally when I want to use it I'm not using WiFi.
