The 28
Hello!!! I noticed that in every rolex advertising the date is set on the 28th. Is there an explanation for this ?

Well, actually in the newest catalogue, two DJ's on page 16 are showing the 29th.! But I guess it was done to emphasize the RED date font on those too.
But why the date 28 is shown on the other models? Beats me! But also the TIME is always set to always show 10.10.31. That time will allow the viewer to get the best view of the dial.

It has to do with the aesthetics. Every watch advertisment shows 10:10 and most of the time they use the 28th date. Researchers have said that this is the most convenient thing to the human eye

hmm yeah, 28 a very full and round number, and the 10 10 creates an equlibrium.

That is an interesting question. I just recieved a catalogue and all the Rolex are at 28 but all the others, Tag, Omega, Tissot and B&M are all set to 8.

28 is a significant number to the Chinese community, maybe it's to work on the largest market currently in the world!!

The no. 28 tends to fill up the whole date window.....so it could be sheer aesthetics.
Omega tend to always use 8 as their date. Different companies set their own norms. JJ
