value of SS Submariner 5513 without date ?
I bought the above watch in Singapore from an AD in 1989. It does not have a sapphire crystal glass but the plastic 'dome'. I have heard that these watches have gone up in value. I wonder what it would sell for in like new condition as I have kept it.
I preferred to wear the GMT Master II |

imranahmed, sounds to me all you need to do is buy the GMT II and keep the 5513 and allow it still go up in value.

Welcome to TRF!
I'm with Ed on this one! Please DO keep the 5513. You can always get a GMT II! But if you want to know what it is worth, I would say that an example in good condition and having its papers and box would be worth about US $ 6,000. (at least that is how the price of such a watch is in Denmark).

On the same note, my 5513 is from 1979. I still have the papers but no box. With the older ones, is the price different. More or less. I'm just curious.
