JJ,
How about MASTER as it sounds manlier and it is one of Rolex’s master watches. The master to many other Rolex watches in imho. |

It sounds too formal and does not distinguish it from the other YMs. This is the ONLY Rolex PLATINUM watch and should thus be appropriately named PLATTY!!

I'm not sure what you mean. There is a platinum Day-Date and a platinum Cellinni model. Are you already getting rid of the LV your sister gave you? I owned a SS/Plat YM for five years. I called it "my stainless steel, platinum Yacht-Master." I don't give nicknames to watches, but if I were forced at gun point to give your SS/Plat YM a nickname, I'd call it "Short timer." |

If you DON'T know what transpired between my sister and me, then you certainly aren't in a position to pass judgement or comments. What happens in my family, is solely my business. Thank you - JJ

Where in my message to you did I pass judgment on you? The fact I liked the LV and think it's sad to see it go has nothing to do with your relationship with your sister. Why would you jump to that conclusion??? As far as I'm concerned, I don't know whether to be more unpleasantly surprised at the tone of your response or at the fact that you chose to interpret my message that way. As for my in-jest jab at pet names for watches, perhaps you've forgotten you started this post with a "LOL!?" I didn't realize it was a serious topic. Otto |

All I'm trying to say is that I just need and want 2 Rollies; and since I liked the Pt. YM so much, I had a chat with Nina and told her that I would have to dispose off 2 of my babies (LV and Expy) so I could get the YM. She agreed wholeheartedly knowing fully well my passion for the brand and subject. It was mutual and loving consent between brother and sister....that's all. Anyway, forget the whole thing. It's all over. I now look forward to going to my AD this Saturday morning and picking up the Platty!! Cheers - JJ

I voted niether. You will probbly call it platty for now, but it is not nessasary to name "one", that will soon be up for adoption.
