I saw it last week, really liked it. The graphics are amazing. Catch the 3D version if it's available in your area.

I saw it in a regular mega theater. Pretty good flick. My wife did not like the graphics, though, the ultra-detailed CGI sits a little too far from animation and a little too far from film for her to "get it." She had a nice nap, though.

Saw the 3D Imax version last week. I was really excited about seeing this movie due to all of the hype it was generating regarding the 3D. Well, I wasn't blown away. The movie was ok at best. Definitely more of a rent & watch at home type movie (especially if you can't even see it in 3D)

I saw it today and I think it`s very good.I`m not big fan of CGI animated movies and Robert Zemeckis either, but I think that he`s done a wonderful job.The story is o.k.,acting is remarkable, and animation, altought spectacular, needs some time for watcher to get used to it.However, when story pulls you in,together with vibrant musical score, you stop to think about Beowulf as an animated movie...
...and I compete understand you,JJ,that Platty is a stunner! |

Saw it in 3D last month. It's serviceable, but nothing spectacular. The effects were cool and the realism of the animation a giant leap forward from Polar Express.
I did laugh my @ss off at the scene where he fights Grendel naked. The way they blocked his nether region with bowls and clubs, or with someone walking by at just the right moment was hilarious. I kept getting nasty looks from the mrs every time I burst out laughing. |

Saw it this weekend, enduring it was painful. A friend took me to see it, bought me a ticket. It was his second time watching it - I gave him hell
Angelina was hot, agreed (well, the graphics of Angelina were anyway) and the homo-erotic naked fight sequence was hilarious, yes. I nearly spat my coke all over the poor woman in front of me! I just felt the story was too thin to go to all that effort, and though the 3D/effects were impressive I couldn't get involved at any level worth recommending. JJ if you were there with your watch I daresay I would have spent more time looking at that :) I saw Amercian Gangster later the same day. Now that is a movie... R :) |
