I'm afraid OysterDavid's resply wasn't completely correct, so let me clarify this situation with Rolex exchanging dials (in the USA):

- RUSA does NOT change the dials on ANY of the professional models; meaning: Seadweller, Submariner, Yachtmaster, Daytona, GMT Masters, Explorer I & II, and Turn-O-Graph.
(so they won't add diamonds either)

- RUSA only exchanges dials to a PLAIN STICK dial in white, silver, black, blue and champagne colors.
(even if you come from roman numerals)

- Mother-of-Pearl, Meteorite, Sodolite, and all the other "stone-dials" can only be purchased when you originally buy the watch like that, they are not available to be put on later.

- Diamond dials are available ONLY in the plain colors, as mentioned above. (some exceptions may apply in color availability)

- Every diamond dial exchange can ONLY be done by RSC.

- An AD watchmaker can only exchange dials with the stick dials.

- Rolex will not exchange a dial when the watch is still under it's 2 year warranty period. (but then again, you don't have to tell them that...)

Hope this makes it clear!
