New Daytona 2013
Do you think they are going to make a new one at basel? Bigger 42mm, more options for the stainless steal?

Quite a lot of females wear the Daytona so it will be unlikely Rolex would make it 42mm. I think they may come up with a ceramic bezel on all gold models then on SS models eventually.

I'd buy a larger model Daytona.
The current one is unisex. Puts off some male buyers. |

Hoping for a date "complication" but not holding my breath. For the 50th anniversary they'll probably do something that doesn't involve re-tooling as a bigger case or date would require. Likely something along the lines of ceramic bezel on bracelet model, hideous special edition anniversary green, or something like that...

I did a poll and the vast majority thought no change on size or date. Ceramic bezel on all models very likely in next 2 years.

50/50 shot. I dont think Rolex knows what they are going to be doing half of the time. They keep it very secretive

The SS doesn't have more dial options like the Arabic numbers, red hands ect....I don't think it is not the same when you modify a SS with a different face that's my opinion but hey I've been wrong before

It makes the two dial options more exclusive, isn't? (IMO)

The current 40mm wears way smaller than my SubC or the GMTIIC.
A 42mm would be great, but no guarantees by Rolex! |

The current Daytona despite what movement it may have is styled mainly as a piece of jewelry.
As a timing instrument is hardly useful at all, except for telling the time. This of course matters not to many of those who wear them, but I do think that there is a population of watch enthusiasts who would like a Rolex chronograph that is more tool than bling. As far as I'm concerned, 40mm is enough, but if Rolex does restyle, I do think we can expect a larger case.
