I recently bought a 44 FC. Even if i had teh chance to choose between the ceramic and the FC, I would still choose the FC.

IMHO the FC has more character than the ceramic version. FC changes colors under light and its more unique. Every FC case is different than any other.

Mine says hello

They look nearly identical so it's really a personal preference. Do you like FC or ceramic? Personally I'd get the FC. It's lighter, isn't nearly so brittle, hides dings and scratches well enough, has more visual depth, and IMO it'll likely get discontinued at some point in favor of ceramic.

FC44mm for me, agree with the above that the carbon case gives each watch it's own individual look

While I wasn't always enamored of the material, ultimately forged carbon is unique to AP and somewhat of a trademark -- they developed it, and to date, they're the only ones using it (others use woven carbon fiber).

While the ceramic pieces are certainly very nice, if it comes down to one or the other, I'll take forged carbon.

Regards,
Adam

For me, I would save the $$$ and buy the new ceramic. Harder to scratch although it can crack if hit hard enough.

I think there is a danger that if FC is discontinued by AP it could look dated quite quickly as no one else does it. There was a time, although I can't imagine when, that bi metal watches looked cool - now they don't. FC could go the same way as it is an unique looking product.

I understand what your saying.... But FC looks like no other material out there, especially the way the carbon changes colour in the sun!
I hope no other manufacturer ever tries it.... That way all AP FCs will stay unique and will never look dated or tacky like gold or bi colour can sometimes!

I hope so too, my choice of carbon watch would be a Trulli.

i am an AP FC lover. i welcome the ceramic case, in terms of purpose and feel.
but i do not think i will get anything that is both ceramic case + bezel

Forged carbon just worked so well in combination with other materials.

An all ceramic watch is dare I say a little boring?

I am waiting for an all ceramic bumble bee in orange now lol
