Signet rings... Is it just me?!?

Ok, I admit I'm pretty old-school, but am I the only one on TRF to wear a signet ring?

Mine was a "coming of age" gift from my parents on my eighteenth birthday and bears my family crest.

I've noticed a few people from the US on here making fun of "pinkie rings" so flame away!

I like it. I don't have a family crest that I am aware though .. I could always make up one, with dragons and fire and swords ...

I have a few rings including a signet with my initials on it but it's nothing very fancy. In fact, I much prefer yours!

Cool!!! I don't think you'd be the first to do that, though!

I don't wear any other jewlery but always have this on, though I do change hands sometimes.

Nice ring! I don't wear a signet ring, but I do wear rings. I trade off on these two daily. Right now I wear the blue gemstone ring more than the other. I wore a 3 diamond pinky ring for 20 years and then changed to the ring finger about 12 years ago.

One that I got as a gift at 18 like you Mark. Plus one inherited from my grandfather.
Both occupy a spot in the case but never got used to wearing one.

Nothing wrong with a pinkie ring. Though I have gotten rid of all mine in the past year I still would not be opposed to another.

Dig your signet.

I have a gold signet ring given to me by my grandmother while I was in school. It’s too small for me to wear now, even on my pinkie finger.

I’ve seen lots of photos of men from the UK wearing their family crest on a pinkie ring, the Prince of Wales prominent among them. I don’t know about people from the US making fun of pinkie rings. If I could afford to have my family crest in gold, I might just do the same thing. Wear it with pride.

I often wear my late Grandfather's ring that so happens to fit my pinkie. It's a trench ring he made out of 1943 Two Shillings coin.

Never had a signet ring, but wore this one for many years, until recently, for whatever reason, I stopped wearing rings......

I've just googled and it seems to have "connotations" for dozens of things... And many of them very much contradict each other!?!

I'm interested in what you connect them with since you are also from the UK but understand if you'd rather not say incase it offends someone. (You wouldn't offend me, though, my skin's as thick as a rhino's!).

From what I can see in the UK most of the guys I know who wear them are like me... Tweed clad and wearing it for family tradition!
