Ways I have damaged a watch

In honor of my new TRF pal who just bought his very first Rolex, I though it would be good for us to collectively warn him about the worldly dangers that lurk for our watches. I shall begin:

Gasoline/Petrol/Solvents

While filling my car with fuel, the petrol splashed back onto the watch and melted the water seals. Not a cheap fix.

Now I ALWAYS have my watch arm behind my back when at the pumps.
