There are many nice Rollies ....,but there is only one King !! The King,is the Blue TT Sub

I have owned mine now since Dec 2006.Its my daily work watch,its got a slight dent here and there,some fine scratches ... and still,it simply does not fail to amaze.It is the signature Rolex !! This is one ,that will be passed on to my son

As for the need of a SLR. Try these 3 steps with your current camera:

1. (correct color)
Set the "white balance" to "bulb" (or simular), that will correct the coloring, loosing the yellow tint, and making in true in color.

2. (avoid blur)
Put the camera on a tripod (anything, really), and use the self timer.

3. (correct focus)
If your camera has a "macro"-function, use that. If not, make sure your camera has enough distance to the subject, to be able to focus (zoom if needed).

...that should get you started
