Rolex Secondhand UK Market

I am currently on the verge of purchasing my first Rolex.

At some research I have decided on a second hand DateJust and I am looking to spend between £2-£3K.

I am based about 25 miles north of London. Where should I be looking? Are there any good companys? Shops? Pawnbrokers?

This is my first big watch purchase so I want to make sure that I dont get bitten

Have bought from Official Watches and can recommend them.

Watches of Distinction is also well regarded, althought I have not bought from them.

Good luck.

www.watchclub.com

These guys have a very good reputation however they use that as a way of keeping prices pretty high. I check the site everyday. They have a great selection and currently have a Patek 5970R in which is making me drool.

http://www.watchcentre.com

These guys have an unworn 2010 16570 for £3,950. If that's the price they're showing you can probably get it for £3,700ish. I've been staring at it for a few days now trying to talk myself out of buying it. The prices are very good and they have a bricks and mortar store on New Bond street. If I was to go grey I would probably go here. I know someone who bought a £50k Patek from them without even raising an eyebrow so their reputation must speak for itself.

Maybe only just over budget. One tony just sold, bit cheaper. It's worth enquiring with these guys.

Not always

I bought through one of the guys in the US and had no customs issue.
Speak to the TRF trusted sellers if you want one from them.
They have their ways....

(but you might get stung for the tax so dont blame me)

Morning all,

Thanks for your comments. After sleeping on it I think that I have decided what I am after.

My decision is DT with white/silver dial and diamond setting. With a fully silver braclet...

Now all I have to do is to wait patiently for one to become available

I have contacted all of the above asking that when they have one available to let me know.

However after a little more search I have found these guys - http://www.capitalfinewatches.co.uk/

Does anyone know anything about them? Or whether I should steer clear

I would try www.watches.co.uk. I have used them to service a Rolex with no problems and they get good comments from their existing customers. Not bought a watch from them, so don't know how their prices compare.

There is very good Rolex dealer in Northern Ireland for new and pre-owned - only a short plane hop from you or by mail - Mercers Jewellers - have bought 3 Rolexs and some Omega from them - excellent deals and service - You should contact them - they might be able to help and you won pay central London prices - you are right ago be careful - I learnt the hard way when I first got in the pre-owned game!

Don't use this lot, rubbish service once you have completed your transaction.
