Sea Dweller "E" Series

I am preparing to sell my Sea Dweller. I believe it is an "E" series, how do I find out what year it was manufactured. Secondly is there an easy way to remove the bracelet and reattach it?

Serial numbers can be found in the FAQ sticky at the top of the forum page. An E serial is from 1990. You will need a spring bar removal tool, some guys however use a paper clip to remove the pins.

bracelet removal is easy. a removal tool is prefered, but pushing in on one side of the spring bar with a toothpick/or paperclip will allow one end of the bracelet/end piece to be removed. repeat for other end...

Reinstalling the bracelet is a bit trickier. essentially you need to depress the springbar and slip it back into place. it is easy to scratch the case if you are not careful. if you have the time, buy a springbar removal tool from qualitytyme or any other place, as it will make the job a lot easier-especially the reinstall part. Note that the tutorial is showing the removal of a SEL type bracelet. The procedure of removing a NON SEL bracelet is basically the same, but you use a pin tool to push in the spring bar from the caseside holes. The tape trick is still recommend, also around the lugholes.

Here is the SEL version with lug holes straight against the case.

Here I will show you how you pull off the bracelet
and check your serial number.

Here I use the orginal tool from the Sea Dweller
tool set but you can even use a toothpick so you
dont scratch the case side. Then you push in the
springy pin and lift the end link a little up.



And it will looks like this.



Here it´s fully out.



Then you do the same thing at the other side.



When it´s off you can read the serial number between
the 6 o´clock position between the lugs.



Here is another tool I use when I will get the bracelet
back again. You can even see I have use some masking
tape on the lugs so I don´t scratch the case with the
tool or the pin. Then you push it in so it will go into
the end link.



Then you do the same thing at the other side and when
it´s done you jusr press the endlink down with your
thumb until you hear a click.



Pull off the tape and look carefully so the pins are
viewable in the case holes and they are fully out in
the case.
