And as soon as I start to wind it it starts right up . Has this happened to anyone else ? I notice with my dj2 that I have to wind it 30-40 times for it to start up , but the sub starts after 5-10 times of being wound . Just trying to get some feedback from all of you to see if I'm the only one this is happening with . Thanks everyone and have a great day !

Usually Rolexes start within 7-10 rotations.

Odd that you would need to wind up 30-40 times before it starts

Both my PO and Sub start right up after 2-3 winds. Always wind it all the way up because a automatic is the most accurate when operating at the top 3/4 of its power.

My DJ's starts closer to 10 rotations or so usually.

I'm gonna start my dj2 up in a few hours and see after how many rotations it starts to move . Maybe I am saying 30-40 just for the fact I am counting to 30 - 40 and when the number gets higher up that's when I really start watching the second hand . I also let the watches sit for about a week at a time , so they are completely stopped , maybe that has something to do with it ??

I would not be to concerned about how many turns of the crown it takes when winding your watch for the hands to startling moving. As long as your watch has 40+ hours of power reserve after a full wind you are good to go.

I usually shake it and then wind it and it starts right up!

It's normal, I was worried and PMed Padi and he explained that it's all good. Mine, when received from a store took 30 winds and started up. Last week, after it sat for two weeks unmolested from my Rolex lovin' hands, same thing. However, when I set the time first, then wound, it kicked right at wind uno.
