Yes. The cyclop is one of the reasons that makes Rolex unique and iconic. Plus the magnification of the date helps a lot when reading it. However, without the cyclops, the watch would more symmetrically and "clean" looking but at the same time look like any other mechanical dive watches out there. The cyclop adds uniqueness.

Haha kidding! I have 20/20 vision. I appreciate and love it how it makes Rolex, a Rolex, but if it were optional, I'd rather not have it on my SubC date.
